Microsoft Loves PHP!

microphpOr so they say, with them releasing the software development kit (SDK) for Azure, Microsoft’s cloud services platform. maybe they’ve wised up and have accepted they cannot stand alone in the fast evolving internet and computing industry, most of which have long shifted to open sourced platforms for their web needs. The SDK includes code samples and tools for developers so they can work with Silverlight and IE8, the next generation of browser they have for the long Internet Explorer line.
IE8 would sure be part of the upcoming Windows 7 that is set to go out on the market for next year. Them opening doors for the PHP market is indeed a gamble for most of these open sourced technologies were developed to battle their type of closed systems. With Bill out of the helm of the company, maybe Ballmer has had a change of heart, allowing developers to tie into their technologies that have long been shut-up in vaults and high security development offices till they hit the road. Microsoft per se, isn;t getting into the open-sourced business but are rather getting them to join in and use their technology for the upcoming shift into the cloud which is the next move for business and personal computing.
